Catawba Women, the American Revolution, and the New Republic

Blount Mansion is proud to present Dr. Brooke Bauer of the University of Tennessee.

She will speak on “Catawba Women, the American Revolution, and the New Republic.” The realities of war are often glossed over or erased when considering Native American women. In this talk, Dr. Bauer breathes life into the experiences of Catawba women during and shortly after the American Revolution.

We are thrilled to be partnering with the The National Society of Colonial Dames Knoxville Town Committee for our Semiquincentennial Celebration Lecture Series!
