VOLUNTEER

GET INVOLVED

Are you the kind of person who loves to feel connected to the generations who came before us, and who enjoys sharing their stories with others? Do you love working with historic building projects or helping catalog artifacts, or is digging through historical documents and photos more your speed? Perhaps you would like to work behind-the-scenes at an exciting event, or maybe you’d love to see the beaming faces of schoolchildren as they watch history come alive in front of their eyes for the very first time. Perhaps you might even enjoy wearing a costume and playing a role in one of our period history dinners or our annual Halloween events.

If any of the above descriptions resonate with you, you need to become part of the Blount Mansion family! We are a tight-knit group of history-loving folks, and we’re always looking to grow our numbers. In addition to the many roles they perform in the day-to-day operations of our museum, our volunteers also enjoy regular gatherings for fun and fellowship, including pot luck dinners, special educational opportunities and training sessions, and group visits to other historic sites.
